Why Mawarid?

The answer is simple…Freedom. The freedom to choose the grade of olive oil (i.e Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Virgin Olive Oil, Pomace Olive Oil, Oil blends), the freedom to choose the origin of olive oil, and the freedom to choose from a range of packaging available that suits each market.

Our Products

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

This is the highest grade and is made by a cold mechanical process, without any heat or chemical refining methods. This prevents the natural content from being altered after exposure to high temperatures. Our extra virgin olive oil has a low acid content and a nutty aroma profile.

This is an excellent ingredient because its exquisite characteristics make it perfect for cooking, sautéing and for making salad dressings and toppings. Extra virgin olive oil is also a natural source of antioxidants and phenols, healthy fat and omega 6.

Virgin Olive Oil

Virgin olive oil is made by using the same cold mechanical press without any refining methods or chemical solvents. It has a slightly higher acidity level and the taste is milder. This oil is ideal for low-heat cooking and it makes a great salad dressing.

Pomace Olive Oil

After the first press, a pulp is produced and any remaining oil is extracted. This pomace oil is mixed with high-quality oils to improve its quality and taste profile. This oil is harder to extract so other techniques need to be used. This oil also has a higher smoke point so has a high heat resistance, making it ideal for frying and cooking.

Blended Olive Oil

We have exclusive use of the third largest refinery in Spain. Refined oil has no taste or flavour so we can blend it with different percentages of extra virgin olive oil to create new blends and flavours at an affordable price. Customers may have a specific budget in mind so we have the technology to create a different quality olive oil or even private labels. We have the capabilities to do all of this in one location which gives us much better control of the supply chain.
